Ensure your injured animal receives the concentrated nutrition he needs to heal! Available in Canine and Feline formulas, this nutritional supplement is designed with the unique needs of each species in mind. Guaranteed amounts of important vitamins, minerals and macronutrients support the increased dietary needs of sick or injured pets. This powder formula is easy to dose based on your animal’s weight and the type of injury or disease. Triage’s increased palatability and low viscosity make it an excellent formula for voluntary consumption, oral syringe feeding or tube feeding. Made in the USA.

General Information:
One can (12 oz) of Triage powder makes about 980 ml of formula. Follow dosing instructions to best supplement your pet.

Prepare sufficient formula for use within a 24 to 48 hour period. Unused Triage Intensive Care Formula should be refrigerated. Do not store unused Triage powder in the refrigerator.

Administrate by feeding tube for the following applications: nasogastric, orogastric, pharyngostromy, gastrostomy and jejunostromy.

NOT FOR INTRAVENOUS USE.

If urine output is inadequate, additional water may be required.

Urine and blood glucose levels should be monitored in all diabetic patients.

Triage Canine Intensive Care Formula is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food nutrient Profiles for growth.

Triage Feline Intensive Care Formula is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for growth.

Triage is recommended in the management of the following conditions: immediate post-surgical malnutrition, respiratory infections, respiratory disease, digestive disorders, trauma, sepsis, burns, feline lower urinary tract disease, chronic debilitating disease, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, malnutrition, anorexia, cancer and fever.

Canine:
Mix one (1) part Triage with three (3) parts water. For example, to make 240 ml of formula, mix ¼ cup Triage powder with ¾ cup (6 oz; 180 ml) water.

Feline:
Mix one (1) part Triage with two (2) parts water. For example, to make 160 ml of formula, mix ¼ cup of Triage powder with ½ cup (4 oz; 120 ml) water.

Feeding Instructions:
In the first 24 hours, Triage should be fed in small amounts every 2 to 3 hours to gradually increase digestive capacity and function, which typically become compromised during critical situations. Following this period, feedings may be increased in volume and duration (3-5 times daily depending on the individual). Voluntary consumption should be encouraged early in recovery at the discretion of your veterinarian.
